The e-learning course ‘Health Systems Strengthening and HIV: Emerging challenges’ is in process of tropEd accreditation and can be followed as a stand-alone course or as part of the Master in International Health programme.

How does the response to HIV epidemic strain the already stretched health systems, and yet offer opportunities to strengthening health systems? This courses analyses the key aspects of health systems response to the epidemic and how it has been impacted, as well as, identifies ways for working across sectors and with different stakeholders (e.g. public, private, PLWH, and civil society). Participants identify and examine the implementation of key interventions (e.g. (V)CT, PMTCT, ART) and appraise mechanisms for synergies within the health sector within various contexts.
